Here are a few ideas for your private charter but remember, you determine the itinerary and your options are limitless:

San Diego Bay Tour
After departing the dock we will sail toward the Pacific Ocean passing Shelter Island, Ballast Point, and Point Loma. Along the way we will see many shore birds, Sea Lions, and possibly even some Dolphins. Once past Point Loma we will spend about a half hour sailing and enjoying the incredible views along our coastline including the Point Loma Lighthouse, San Diego skyline, Coronado bridge, Hotel Del Coronado, Tijuana, and the Coronados. Then we will cruise back into the bay toward the downtown waterfront and Coronado bridge. The Bay is usually bustling with military and civilian watercraft of all sizes. It’s not uncommon to see large Navy ships, submarines, mega-yachts, and many civilian vessels on the water. You will also see a variety of civilian and military aircraft flying overhead, from open-cockpit biplanes to tactical military jets.

We will sail under the Coronado bridge and past the USS Midway, Star of India, and Maritime museum before heading back to Harbor Island. Your sailing tour with us will be an experience that you will not forget and likely the highlight of your stay in San Diego.

Whale Watching (Dec – Mar)
We will shove off from our dock on Harbor Island and sail out of the Bay, past Ballast Point and Point Loma, and into the Pacific Ocean. Gray Whales travel parallel to the coastline between 1 and 6 miles from shore so we won’t have to venture out very far to see them. We will be looking for spouts of water caused by the exhalation of a surfacing whale. Once a whale is spotted we will position ourselves alongside and sail slowly and in formation with the whale, being careful not to disturb or distract the whale from feeding.

After about 30 minutes we will break off and either continue looking for sea life or head back into the Bay. Snacks and bottled water is provided and you are welcome to bring your own food and beverage. Additional items that we recommend you bring are: camera, sunscreen, sun glasses, warm clothing, binoculars.

Sunset Sail
We will sail from Harbor Island toward the Pacific Ocean passing Shelter Island, Ballast Point, and Point Loma. Along the way we will see many shore birds, Sea Lions, and possibly even some Dolphins.

Once past Point Loma we will spend about a half hour leisurely sailing and enjoying the incredible views of the sunset over the Ocean as we drink champagne and eat some delicious local chocolates. After sunset we will cruise back into the bay toward the downtown waterfront. We will sail under the glow of the city skyline past the USS Midway, Star of India, and Maritime museum before heading back to Harbor Island. Your sailing tour with us will be an experience that you will not forget and likely the highlight of your stay in San Diego.
