Lucky Sol Sailing is a NauticEd affiliate sailing school offering students sailing certifications that are recognized by yacht charter companies and sailing organizations around the world.

- Our training programs include a FREE cloud-based logbook which enables you to keep track of your time on the water as you build your sailing resume. This can be used to bareboat charter or to obtain a professional license.
Training Packages
Crew Training – 1 Day (4hrs) – $349 Per Person This one day training course will prepare beginner sailors to act as a competent members of the crew. It includes both theoretical and on-the-water instruction in basic boat systems, standing & running rigging, weather & sea conditions, rules of the road, slip departure & return, sailing, communication, navigation, anchoring & mooring, and emergency procedures. Included Online Course: Qualified Crew Member. (Online Course Must Be Completed Prior to On-The-Water Training, Minimum of 2 Students Required for Class).
Skipper Rank – 2 Days (10hrs) – $649 Per Person This two day course prepares sailors to skipper cruising sailboats on day trips on near coastal and inland waterways. After completion of the course students will have confidence in their ability to safely maneuver the vessel in a marina, anchor, sail, navigate, avoid collision and adhere to the rules of the road, effectively communicate on the VHF radio, understand basic weather concepts, obtain weather reports & forecasts, operate all boat systems, understand basic diesel engine operations, and handle emergencies on the water. A minimum of 2 additional days of boating experience required to qualify for Skipper Certification with this training. Included Online Courses: Skipper Course + Maneuvering Under Power (Online Course Must Be Completed Prior to On-The-Water Training, Minimum of 2 Students Required for Class).
Certifications
Qualified Crew Member If you are new to sailing and want to understand the basics of sailboat systems and operation this course will help you become a confident and contributing member of a sailing crew. Requirements: Qualified Crew Member Course + A Minimum of 4 Qualifying Days of On-The-Water Experience + Competency Verification by a Qualified NauticEd Instructor.
Skipper If you have some sailing experience and would like to skipper a vessel on near coastal or inland waters this course is for you. Requirements: Skipper Course or RYA Day Skipper Course + Maneuvering Under Power Course + A Minimum of 4 Qualifying Days of On-The-Water Experience + Competency Verification by a Qualified NauticEd Instructor.
Bareboat Charter Master If you would like to bareboat charter with your friends or family this course will give you the training you need and is recognized by charter companies around the world (if sailing in Europe you will also need an SLC). Requirements: Skipper Requirements + Bareboat Charter Course + Coastal Navigation Course + Electronic Navigation Course + Anchoring Course + A Minimum of 50 Qualifying Days of On-The-Water Experience.
Captain Are you planning on sailing more than 20 miles from shore or embarking on a live-aboard cruising adventure? If so, this course will supplement the knowledge and experience you already have and take you to the next level of sailing mastery. Requirements: Bareboat Charter Master Requirements + Sail Trim + Storm Tactics Clinic + Weather Clinic + Safety at Sea Clinic + A Minimum of 50 Qualifying Days of On-The-Water Experience.
