Not to mention the time spent performing preventative maintenance (cleaning, oil & filter changes, battery maintenance, etc.)

Windseeker – Scheduled Day

Membership Plans

CREW  – Participate in monthly Crew Sail Events aboard one of our yachts.  You will also receive last minute charter notifications enabling you to join us on sailing tours for FREE.  Your guests can join you for only $59 per guest.  Includes Crew Training Package.  Price: $59/mo.
DAY SAILOR – Skipper your own yacht with 12 scheduled days per year and up to 5 last minute days per month.  Skipper Rank or equivalent required. Prices vary depending on yacht.  See yacht pricing information below.
YACHTSMAN – 24 scheduled days per year and up to 10 last minute days per month.  Skipper Rank or equivalent required. Prices vary depending on yacht.  See yacht pricing information below.
PASSAGE-MAKER – 36 scheduled days per year and unlimited last minute days.  Skipper Rank or equivalent required. Prices vary depending on yacht.  See yacht pricing information below.

Plan Details

  • All members receive in-depth training on their yacht’s systems + orientation sail/checkout.
  • Initiation fee for all plans $149
  • Scheduled Days begin at 10am and end at 9am the next day.  Overnight stays at Marina Cortez are available to Members(90 days per year total for club, no more than 3 consecutive). Last Minute Days begin at 10am and end at 5pm the same day.
  • Except CREW, all plans require refundable damage deposit, credit and background checks and insurance approval prior to acceptance.
  • Up to 10 consecutive days of use Sept – Nov. Up to 5 consecutive days of use Dec – Aug. Scheduling is permitted up to 60 days in advance.
  • Navigation limits for members holding Skipper Rank or equivalent is Pt La Jolla to Mexican border within 10nm of shore.
  • Navigation limits for members holding Bareboat Charter Master Rank or higher is Pt La Jolla to Ensenada Mexico within 25nm of shore.
  • Members receive our quarterly newsletter containing valuable info on San Diego boating, club info, and discounts on training and charter/tours.
